The Yellow Line opens: Poonamallee to Vadapalani in 30 minutes
The first section of Metro Phase 2, a 14.6 km elevated stretch serving Porur, Iyyapanthangal, and Poonamallee, begins passenger service this month. Trains run every 10 minutes and cut a 90-minute road journey to about half an hour.
