Our Editorial Mission
Chennaites.com exists to publish useful, accurate, and well-structured information about Chennai for residents, travellers, families, students, and the global Chennai diaspora.
How We Research
- •We prioritise official sources for transport, government services, healthcare, and institutional information.
- •We use reputable local references and primary source material where official information is not available.
- •We aim to write original editorial copy rather than recycled directory text.
Updates and Corrections
Information such as opening hours, fares, contact numbers, and event schedules can change. We review and update pages when new information becomes available. If you spot an error, send us the page URL and the suggested correction through our Contact page.
Commercial Independence
Advertising, affiliate partnerships, and sponsorships help fund the site, but they do not automatically determine rankings, inclusion, or editorial conclusions. Commercial relationships are handled separately from editorial decision-making.
Sister Sites and Cross-Links
Chennaites.com is published alongside EduMetrics.in, which covers careers, courses, entrance exams, apprenticeships, coaching, and entrepreneurship for students across India. The two sites share common ownership. Where it genuinely helps the reader (for example, on our Class 10 and Class 12 board results guides, the stream-selection sections, or the back-to-school checklist), we cross-link to specific EduMetrics pages and label these links clearly as "sister site".
These cross-links are editorial, not paid placement. They are placed at moments where a reader is asking the question the linked page answers (for example, "what to do after Class 10?" or "how to choose between Science, Commerce, and Arts?"). External links to other websites, including EduMetrics, open in a new tab and use the standard rel="noopener noreferrer" attribute.
What We Avoid
- •Thin pages written only to target keywords.
- •Unverified factual claims about public services, education, healthcare, or safety.
- •Commercial copy presented as editorial without disclosure.
