Parry's Corner

Share

One of the oldest commercial areas in Chennai, Parry's Corner is named after Thomas Parry, a British merchant who established his trading house here in the early 1800s. This bustling junction remains a major wholesale hub for textiles, spices, stationery, and general merchandise, and the old Madras character of the area is still palpable in its colonial-era buildings and narrow lanes. Situated near the High Court and Fort St. George, Parry's Corner connects Chennai's mercantile past to its commercial present.
