Burma Bazaar
Located near Chennai Central station, Burma Bazaar is named after the Burmese repatriates who settled here after World War II and began trading imported goods. Once infamous for smuggled electronics and foreign-made products, the bazaar has evolved into a legitimate market where you can still find electronics, perfumes, watches, sunglasses, and accessories at bargain prices. The old-world charm and the thrill of hunting for a good deal remain very much alive.
