Kundrathur is a developing suburban locality in western Chennai, situated along the Kundrathur–Sriperumbudur road. The town has deep religious significance with several ancient temples, most notably the Sri Balasubramaniar Temple atop the Kundrathur hillock, which is a prominent pilgrimage destination. Once a quiet agrarian settlement on the banks of the Adyar River, Kundrathur has transformed into a growing residential area thanks to improved road connectivity and its proximity to Porur, Mangadu, and the IT corridors.
