Kovalam
Kovalam (also known as Covelong) is a historic coastal village along the East Coast Road, approximately 40 km south of Chennai. Once a major port during the Pallava and colonial periods, Kovalam is now a peaceful beach destination popular for surfing, windsurfing, and beach relaxation. The village retains its fishing heritage while attracting weekend visitors from the city with its clean beach, surf schools, and beachfront cafes.
